This autumn and winter we will again be running our free Pike coaching / fish-in sessions. As with last year this is open to all members who wish to learn how to safely fish for Pike or wish to improve their skills or just to come along and have a chat with like-minded anglers. The sessions will be run by club coaches but we encourage our experienced pikers to come along and help out. These sessions are informal and fun and hopefully we’ll see a couple of Pike caught.
The emphasis will be on Pike care, from ensuring suitable safe tackle and rigs are used through to unhooking and returning without harm to the Pike or to the angler.
Our experienced Pikers will show their favourite set-ups and we can help and advise participants setting up their own versions.
Tackle will be provided for loan at each session if required. Sessions are free but it would be appreciated if attendees could bring along bait if deadbaiting, details on suitable baits will be provided.
