This mature gravel pit in Hayling Island adjoins the golf course and is around 15 acres in size. It offers great sport for all anglers alike. There is a large head of quality large Mirror and Common Carp, Tench, Bream to double figures, Perch, Roach, Rudd and decent double sized Pike.

All general water rules apply plus the following:

1. Car parking is only in 2 angling car parks, accessed via club combination locks. ALL gates must remain locked when not in use.
2. The out of bounds areas marked on the map are STRICTLY ENFORCED. All wildfowl and fauna are strictly protected.
3a. A maximum of two rods per member only permitted. A 3rd rod may then only be used if a 3rd rod supplement has been purchased. There is a maximum of 4 rods in any swim during the day or night.
3b. No adults sharing a swim overnight.
4. Maximum of 5kg of bait per 48 hour session.
5. No overnight fishing from Gun Emplacement area (Tates). Fishing only from dawn to dusk (April to October) and 2hrs before Dawn, 2hrs after Dusk (November to March).
6. Blue badge holders/disabled members may use any form of fishing from on pegs 7 and 13 (platforms on Gun enplacement) up to 25 metres. All others anglers must float fish or lure fish only.
6a. Pegs 6 (Beach 1) and 14 (Old Clays) must not cast within 25 metres of Gun enplacement.
7. No access at all through the golf course car park.
8. No fishing past any markers which are placed in swims when water levels are low.
9. Fish welfare is paramount. Due to the nature of the lake bed and weed, anglers must fish the water only in their swim area, and remain in their swims.

10. Fishing in front of Golf Club house is allowed from Dawn to Dusk (no distance fishing allowed). 25 metres from bank only.
11. Anglers on North/South bank and anglers on Gun Emplacement area (Tates) must be mindful of each other when fishing
12. Castable weed rakes may be used with consideration to other anglers.
13. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed, but must be controlled and kept on a short lead at all times.
14. Baiting poles of all kind are banned for use on this lake. Cupping kits are allowed when pole fishing.
15. NO WADING of any kind on this lake with exception of swims 4 (Back Bay), 5 (Beach2) and 6 (Beacg 1) to ONLY allow you to land and release a fish safely due to the shallow nature of the swims close in.
16. Swims underwater can be fished within the swim boundary, this is not deemed as wading Maximum stay of 48hrs on this lake.

No close season on this water however it may be necessary to close the water for fishery management purposes at short notice.
