Soake Pond Update – 30th April 2024

Soake Pond is continuing to undergo works, due to a multitude of difficult issues and reasons beyond everyone’s control, which have already been covered in previous write ups to the Membership. These works continue to remain arduous and time consuming, but I wish to assure you all that without these vital works the Venue would be in serious trouble or worse, and its recovery doubtful, so I thank you all for your patience past, present and for the future.

Whilst the announcement below is not what we all want to read, and is no doubt disappointing, we nonetheless hope that the Lake opening in some capacity is a positive step forward and so, therefore………..

We are extremely pleased to announce that Soake Pond will be re-opening on the 1st May but with strict limitations in place for the foreseeable future to allow continuing, necessary and vital works to be carried out to get the venue fully operational.

Certain areas of the venue will remain out of bounds and fencing in place MUST not be interfered with whatsoever, nor for any reason and this will be strictly enforced.

These limitations are:

Lake Open: Monday 9am to Friday 5pm (12 hour and 24 hour tickets available in this period).

There will be no access or bookings permitted or taken over the Weekends.

Please ONLY call the Warden to book your ticket between the hours of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Bookings will only be taken during the times of 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday, by contacting the Pond Warden, as per the details stated in the club handbook or on the club website – water page.

Please note: calls/ texts outside of these hours will not be answered or replied to.

CRF3 & Tithe Top – Please Read

From Wednesday 1st May 2024 – Junior members are required to have either a Full Adult Member or an Associate Member present when fishing these waters.

CRF Update – 19th April 2024

Friday 19th April Please be aware, that there are still on going issues with low dissolved oxygen levels in the lakes.
While there has been some improvements the levels are still too low compared to normal and we are using aerators as needed.
As such the whole of CRF is closed until further notice. I will post another update on Sunday evening or Monday.
