Brockhurst Litter Pick – 22nd April 2018

CHAT FB Community Team will be cleaning up round the outside of the Moat on 22nd April 2018 starting at 11am. If you are free and can spare an hour or 2 please pop along and lend a hand.

You will need welly boots or waterproof sturdy shoes as it can be tricky around the outside of the moat. We do not want anyone slipping into the water! Children and dogs are permitted to come but must be looked after by their guardian. As we are by the road dogs will need to be kept on their leads and are your responsibility.
Because we value our children coming along to these events they will be given a Certificate and goody bag when we group together at the end which will be approximately midday. PDAS are kindly providing hot drinks, if you have your own mug it will cut down on waste.

**We love to take photographs as we go around and a nice group photo at the end. If you don’t want to be in our pictures please let us know.**

Hamble 15th April Work Party

The next Hamble work party will be this Sunday (15th).

We’re meeting in the Wangfield Lane lay-by at 8.30. Main jobs to tackle are to dig out (de-silt) the fish refuge and to do some experimental erosion protection (staking in tree trunks & branches along the bank). If time allows and for those preferring to stay dry I’ve also got some sedge plants to move, again to slow down erosion of the banks.

Everyone is welcome, if you  have chest waders please bring them. Also for anyone who can help with the de-silting and planting, a shovel/spade will help.
