Dear Members
There has been a report of an isolated incident at the Alver from a member, fishing alone on the water having been approached by several youths at approximately midnight on Saturday 19th November. Thankfully the member remained safe, and nothing came of the situation.
We would like to remind you all the importance to remain alert and safe when enjoying your fishing on any water.
When visiting waters with public access especially, remember the Club has no control or ability to restrict access by non-members, therefore your safety and vigilance is paramount, and as a Club Member you are our eyes and ears.
If you do visit these types of venues, please always be alert that members of the public may access these waters, and most who do, will mean no harm.
However, you must always be aware and alert to changing conditions should in the extremely rare occasions you may be confronted.
Although this type of incident is extremely rare, please always stay alert and safe no matter the time of day/night or whatever venue you choose to visit or fish.
Regards
PDAS Committee.
