The Hamble is ready for the 16th, paths and swims are strimmed so access should be OK. A few points to take note especially for those visiting for the first time this year

– Please park in one of the 2 laybys in Wangfield Lane

– Use the club gate with combination lock, please don’t climb the farmers gate

– stile into the woods has been replaced with a gate, please close and latch after you

– please keep the other 2 gates closed at all times using the bungee straps

– There are a number of new features in the woods section placed there with help from the Wild Trout Trust

– We now have fishing on the west (far) Bank in the 2nd field (this is not yet in the handbook) Access is via the footbridge at the end of the field, crossing the small stream.

As we are monitoring the improving fish population in the river it would be appreciated if catch reports could be posted on the forum or sent to me if preferred. We’ve already seen some impressive trout catches by fly fishermen in the last few weeks so am expecting some superb coarse fishing
