In this time of extreme temperatures and with everything being dry as a bone, please ensure cigarettes are extinguished in a safe manner to avoid any fires. Thank you.
Please remember that first and foremost this is a charity match, however at the time of writing this we all must be mindful of social distancing still. So, please feel free to take the time to socialise with the anglers on either side of you, but at a safe distance. We are all there to raise money to support a fantastic charity and enjoying the fishing together.
We look forward to seeing those who have booked to fish. If you are interested we still might have a couple of spots to fill so please call Mike Alsop 07715 273667

Hi all, we have a disabled member who is looking for a carer to assist them once a week to go fishing. The carer will need to be a driver with his own transport and be a non-smoker.
The day will consist of collecting the gentleman from his home address in Portsmouth at around 9am and popping into the tackle shop to collect bait for the day. Then proceed to the lake of his choice and generally assist him with fishing, unhooking fish etc. He can do most things for himself and will play fish etc so its just generally help and support that is required. He is very independent and does not need any help with going to the toilet etc. Then at the end of the day, return him to his home address with his tackle and unload his gear.
You will be paid £9 an hour and 45p a mile.
At present he fishes every Wednesday but this is flexible and different arrangements can be made to suit both parties.
This gentleman loves his fishing and he benefits greatly from his day on the bank, so please consider helping or putting the word around.
We need to find someone fast as the present carer is leaving soon. The successful candidate will be issued with a carers pass so he/she does not need to be a member of the Club.
If you are interested, please contact Roy Adams on 07899930611 and he will forward your details to the gentleman wife who will ultimately be responsible for the appointment.
Thank You.

Hayling Island Golf Club has very kindly offered PDAS the chance for one lucky person with three friends to play their links style course a prize to raise money for PDAS 2020 nominated charity.
The Club is home to a prestigious ‘links’ course on the south coast of England, rated as one of the top 100 value courses in Great Britain. It is one of the few links courses where the sea views are prominent from most holes and fast fairways and greens provide a challenge for all golfers.
The links course is easy walking, and the good sandy soil drains well and thus is rarely closed. A fairway irrigation system helps ensure the course is always in top condition.
The cost of a round is £85 so in total this prize is worth in excess of £300 to the person who submits the highest winning bid via email.
How to enter
To enter please email bids@portsmouthdas.club with the amount you wish to bid and your contact details.
The person who submits the highest amount will be contacted and sent the pack with full details of prize once the bid amount has been received.
Entries will close on Monday 31st August 2020 at midday. 100% of the winning bid will go to the PDAS 2020 nominated charity.
For more information about the course please see www.haylinggolf.co.uk
*Hayling Golf Club has a smart dress code, please see their website for more information about the course and their rules.
Brownwich Pond will be closed for the day on August 24th 2020 for fishery management reasons and some urgent tree work which needs carrying out.
You still may fish the Sunday night but please ensure you are off the water by 8am.
The water will be open again at 5pm on Monday 24th August.
We are pleased to announce that with immediate effect the 48hr max rule has been reintroduced to Sinah.
Tight lines!
