The committee have recently met and decided to make a few changes to meet the ever changing situation with Covid.

The Club will now re-open its membership book as from Monday August 10th 2020 to new members again, although ALL applications must be postal only and NOT through any tackle shops. The details and address is on the form which is available to download on the club website and I can assure you that postal applications are dealt with swiftly. I suggest you complete the forms and send them off straight away to help speed up the process.

Please ensure you include a SAE with a first class stamp, and the envelope is large enough for a handbook. Also include 2 photos for new members, and the payment which can be either a cheque or via a BACS payment – Bank details are on your membership form.

Some more good news, We are now selling day tickets again and these are available from Rovers, Davis Tackle and Mannings.

The exchange book situation will be announced after negotiations with the other Clubs as they need to agree with this arrangement during these times of Covid restrictions etc.

Please be aware that Tithe barn middle lake will be closed on Wednesday 29th July from 16-00hrs till 21-00hrs for fishery management. Sorry for the short notice & any inconvenience but we need to do some essential work on trees around the lake as we have recently had a couple that have fallen & have assessed that several others need our attention.

In preparation for the 24hr Charity match we can confirm the below for the Raffle.

Raffle Tickets:

Tickets via BACs – Stephen Foster will issue the numbers right up to Friday 7th August

Tickets over the weekend (cash only) – Mike Alsop 07715 273667

Once the match has started Mike Alsop will visit all the anglers in their swims to ask if they wish to purchase raffle tickets. If anglers wish to purchase additional tickets please let one of the match official’s know when they visit to weigh in or call Mike Alsop. Do not visit the official’s area.

For persons not fishing the match that wish to obtain tickets the preferred option is to purchase the tickets in advance via BACS through Stephen Foster ahead of the match.

Alternatively, you can visit Lakeside during the match and drive to the official’s area pegs 32-34 by the Ron Snook memorial bench, but I would ask that you do not hang around as we do not want a gathering of people.

Money Collection
All monies will be collected in a bucket which will be placed on the floor to ensure safe distancing is observed, likewise you will receive your ticket strips in the same way to ensure a safe distance is always be maintained.

Prizes
While I’m sure everyone would like to pick their own prize’s I’m afraid this year that will not be possible. So, each prize will be numbered – 1,2,3,4,5 etc.

A list of the prizes and associated numbers will available at the match when you purchase tickets, it will also be made available on the forums as well.

TICKET SALES WILL CLOSE AT MIDDAY SUNDAY.
At 13:00 Sunday the raffle draw will be made in the presence of the match officials.

Please be aware that Tithe Barn Bottom and Middle Lakes will be closed between 07:00 – 17:00 for a charity match on Sunday 2nd Aug 2020.

Our annual 24hr Charity match is in full preparation but this year we are struggling a bit for raffle prizes. Do you have anything you can donate to a good cause? All proceeds go towards our nominated Charity, this year we are trying to help create a sensory space for a severely disabled youngster.
